After my Get Series(ous). posts, I am often asked, “Why do you compare the books to movies or tv shows?” Mostly, by readers who absolutely never do anything other than read. That’s totally fine, and it’s a personal choice, but here’s the thing: those people are in the minority. Yes, I RARELY watch tv, it’s true, However, I FREQUENTLY watch it while on the treadmill (which is often) or while I’m riding the bus. (also often.) I CANNOT read while on the city bus. I would PUKE ON EVERYONE. Also? I have simply fallen in love with some shows I cannot live without. Not to mention all of the shows derived from books.
Therefore, today’s post is a bit different from my Get Series(ous). series. Today, I’m matching up a show and a book. If you like X, you’ll like Y, type of post. And they’re all available on Netflix.
That last one is what gave me the inspiration for the recipe today! Also? I just wanted a freaking sandwich. I was in NO MOOD for chicken or tuna salad, because I’m having a particular aversion to certain textures right now because of a new med I’m on, and so, those were off the table. I decided to go vegan with my sandwich, with crunchy bits I love, and the flavor I was DYING for.
